Said to have been drunk, a 65 year old British national climbed over the gates to his home at the weekend, before impaling himself on the railings.  At the time medics arrived, he was still stuck, and had to be carefully removed, but subsequently succumbed to his injuries just after midnight. Initial reports indicate that he may have been inebriated.

– Pattaya expat arrested for scams leading to Thai woman’s demise
A Russian in the city was arrested at the weekend after claims that along with drug dealing, he had also run a Forex and crypto scam that had fleeced many, as well as driving one woman who lost more than she had to suicide.  40 year old Alexey Vegman was removed from what is described by police as a luxury penthouse, to the less welcoming surroundings of a police cell during a raid that saw them also remove bank records, 7 laptops and several other money transfer processors.   The woman had so believed in his scam that she encouraged all her friends to invest too. While the level of trading or at least sales appears to have been seriously high, no word on who worked with him but police have several lines of enquiry to follow.
