They have stuck to their guns, seeing some in many provinces only seeing 2 baht a day rises and others a whacking.. 16 baht. This despite the ruling parties promise of 400 baht a day by January. Its seems though that the committee that sets minimum wage is NOT answerable to parliament.

A gang comprising of mostly young women were arrested this week, charged with procuring youngsters for illicit acts in nefarious businesses in the capital. Aimed primarily at the Asian market, the clubs welcomed their new staff, offering them then at a premium price to customers. A full on police investigation going back several months has amazed dozens of statements and its likely that club staff and owners, along with customers, face charges too as many will have paid with either card or phone, leaving a financial trail for police to track them.
