The most senior executive of an online lottery company has been arrested this week, with four charges to account for, including reselling national lottery tickets for more than the face value. The 31 year old was nabbed at his luxury Nonthaburi home and, despite the popularity of the online lottery site, is charged with   selling overpriced tickets, committing fraud, violating the Computer Crime Act, operating an unregistered direct sales business and posting misleading advertising.  A 43 year old woman has also been arrested, both following raids in the Bluedragon Lottery office last month, along with , Red Tiger and Kong Salak Plus. The current proper pricing for lottery is just 80 baht, the reality is that most street hawkers sell for 100 and it’s a constant challenge to the task force set up to police sales. The executive arrested posted bail and was released, telling the press that “I insist I am innocent. I have not committed any wrongdoing..” Mr Seksakol and Pol Lt Gen Surachate are leading the task force to bring down ticket prices.

Opposing beliefs in Thailand regarding the Ukraine and Russia’s invasion are becoming testing for many, not only nationals from those countries, but Thais too. In many cases, some thais look back at the relationship WITH Russia dating back to tsar Nicholas’s support for Thailand as it opposed colonialism,, overlooking the fact that the tsar was murdered by the following communits regime which since then caused  many issues in the 60s and 70s FOR Thailand during the Vietnam war. The other faction appears to embrace Ukraines fight for freedom and democracy.  Meanwhile the Thai state is due to host the APEC summit, which is expected to host representatives from Russia, along with the US, China and 18 other nations.

A Call center using fake video calling pretending that it is from the superintendent of Chonburi’s police station is under investigation after members of the public figured that what appeared to be a personal one-on-one call was in fact scammers using old footage of the officer and did not involve him at all. One wily user asked him to move his lips; when that didn’t happen.. the game was over, at least for that call.

Whatever he had taken, and no one is sure, a young Asian man was arrested by Pattaya police yesterday after swinging a large knife violently toward people in a car parking area on second road. Officers used a long pole with a hook to take control of the man at the front of the avenue shopping mall, once disarmed he was taken away and expected to be blood tested to establish what caused him to lose his mind.
