The Deputy Secretary-General of the National Anti-Corruption Commission has been removed from his position after an enquiry found that he had, himself, an extraordinary amount of wealth; over 650 million baht in investments here and abroad. Dismissal orders, signed by the NACC chairmen followed findings that he had concealed assets, and those findings will be forwarded to authorities where prosecution may be considered.

With the new copyright regulations coming into effect in Thailand, Facebook and youtube posters are receiving fake copyright claims from a company in India, seeing FB itself initially planning to to share credit with them following their erroneous claims. Objections to the copyright claim sees Facebook doing the decent thing and releasing the claim, and the claimant releasing the claim too, but no apology. Contacting them, ‘Silly monks tollywood’, sees them asking you for details of their claim, which indicates that they make multiple claims and have no idea against whom. So, if you get a copyright claim to your posts from Silly Monks Tollywood, appeal it is likely it’s another scam.

An Asian tourist from the Indian subcontinent was caught on camera in an altercation with a Thai female food vendor after refusing to pay for food. She demanded payment and he screamed that he hadn’t eaten it. Either way it turned into a 4.30 in the morning brawl in walking St which saw other locals joining in when he continued to refuse to pay. Video clips initially shown on several media platforms FAILED to show the full video which showed him being let go and then carrying on with other food vendors further down the road. A tall man, he probably thought that it would be easy to dominate the shorter local lady, as often is the case, forgetting that whilst he was on his own, she was surrounded by pals up and down the street. Either way he obviously walked back to his room and slept it off.
