3 separate Chinese abductions reported in Thailand
Three kidnap stories involving 2 Chinese female and one male victims fill Thai news today, one in our own region, covered later and the other two in the capital, where warrants have now been issued for four immigration police officers accused of abducting a Chinese man. Along with a Thai woman then extorting 1 million bahts worth of crypto coins. IN THIS CASE, the victims were freed and have filed complaints with police. Confusingly, in a similar case, a Chinese female studying in the capital was kidnapped last week, and forced to pay multiple amounts of cash and crypto to another gang, who were later nabbed on the Cambodian border.

Meanwhile in Pattaya, a similar case has YET to see a 33 year old Chinese lady released following her abduction while on the school run to collect her child. En route to an international school, she never made it top the school gates, instead, according to her husband, she was abducted, together with her vehicle which was found abandoned yesterday. He too has received demands, via phone calls, for 4.7 mill baht and in this case, at least, police are seriously considering that the kidnap is as a a result of a failed business dealing AND that the VICTIMS together with the abductors know each other. AGAIN, as in the cases in the capital, demands were made for untraceable crypto currency.
Indian arrested for boiler room scams
A boiler room operation involving an Indian and three Thais, plus several others unknown, was raided in the Pattaya region Tuesday. Police raids on 36 addresses spread across 4 provinces were aimed at shutting down a phone scam gang that had targeted close to 400 retired people in the US by phone. With the US being well known as THE most demanding of countries in requesting arrest and deportation of people globally who target Americans, the multi address radio operation was organized with the FBI and it’s likely that any arrested will see a request for them to be sent to the US for trial. The president has already long been set for that, as several multi million dollar scammers, none Americans HAVE, in the past been sent there for trial and jailed. This mob though, dug their own graves career wise by claiming in their phone script that THEY were FBI before fleecing their elderly victims.

Thai election set for Sunday 14th May

Rocket launcher found in Sattahip
The finding of an anti-tank rocket launcher in a Sattahip field caused a stir locally until it was quickly confirmed that it was without munitions and as such totally safe. Whether dumped or dropped during a military exercise, no one is happy to comment as investigations continue.
